Three severity levels, five systems, one written verdict
Findings from the 120-checkpoint inspection are graded on one fixed scale, so a scuffed bumper and a leaking shock absorber never carry the same weight on paper.
Grades describe the vehicle's condition on the day of the visit. They are a severity rating, not a repair estimate and not a warranty.
Severity scale
-
Green
Serviceable. Wear sits inside the expected range for the stated mileage. No action required before purchase.
-
Amber
Monitor. Works today but is nearing its service interval or shows early deterioration. Used as a negotiation item.
-
Red
Repair or reject. A fault that affects safety, legality or running cost, confirmed during the physical inspection.
Five-system condition meter
Each system is graded separately, then weighted into one overall score. The bars show a specimen report from a 2016 diesel estate at 184,000 km.
